Introducing Premarital Counseling Programs… Clergy and relationship professionals highly recommend a program of premarital counseling. Many clergy require couples to have some counseling before they will officiate a wedding. While some religious institutions offer premarital counseling, many couples need or prefer to secure their own services. Smooth Relations of Cincinnati is now offering an innovative program of premarital counseling for engaged couples:
	Premarital education group — consists of two group sessions facilitated by an experienced relationship professional. Portions of the material presented are based on the First Dance program (see www.FirstDance.com). The group experience enhances learning and enjoyment while also being cost effective. Ongoing group for engaged couples — after completing the two premarital education sessions, couples will benefit from learning to manage the stresses of wedding planning and family issues within the context of a supportive group. Individual premarital assessment and counseling — for couples who desire (or are required to have) a personalized assessment of their strengths and areas for further attention, as well as personally tailored recommendations.
